Upload guidelines
Good notes follow a few rules.
Here’s what we look for, so your uploads get approved the first time.
Originals only
Upload only materials you wrote or created yourself. If someone else made it, it’s theirs to share, not yours.
What gets approved
Clear, accurate, well-organized materials that would genuinely help another student study. Neat scans of handwritten notes are welcome too.
What we don’t accept
Copyrighted materials, textbook content, or actual exam questions from any class or test. Rewording a textbook page doesn’t make it yours.
Honesty comes first
Study Guide Tips is for learning, not shortcuts. Never upload graded assignments or anything your school’s honor code says to keep to yourself.

The review process
How reviews work
A real person on our team reads every upload before it goes live. We check that it’s your own work, that the information is accurate, and that it’s organized clearly enough for another student to pick up and use. We also look for anything on our don’t-accept list, like textbook content or actual exam questions.
Most reviews are done within a few business days, and we’ll email you either way. If your upload is approved, the points go straight to your account. If it needs changes, we’ll tell you exactly what to fix and why, so you can update it and resubmit. Think of it as feedback from a study partner, not a grade.
